Our Rwanda office plays a pivotal role in supporting our U.S. operations with high-quality remote engineering, planning, and project delivery support.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>PrimECS is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Construction Engineer to join our Rwanda-based team. This role supports our U.S. project teams by providing remote engineering and operational assistance across various stages of construction. You will work closely with project managers, field engineers, and superintendents to help deliver heavy civil construction projects with precision, efficiency, and quality.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is experienced in construction engineering fundamentals, highly organized, and comfortable collaborating across time zones and teams. You will be responsible for producing and reviewing work plans, tracking quantities and costs, resolving field issues, supporting quality assurance processes, and contributing to invoicing and documentation workflows.</p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and review detailed construction work plans, method statements, and sequencing documents for field crews.</li>\n<li>Support daily quantity tracking and production reports, helping teams monitor actual vs. planned progress.</li>\n<li>Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving field issues, coordinating with U.S.-based staff for timely solutions.</li>\n<li>Support remote quality control and assurance efforts, including reviewing inspection/test data and verifying adherence to project standards.</li>\n<li>Contribute to the preparation and verification of project invoices by validating installed quantities and supporting documentation.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure material and equipment needs are identified and documented.</li>\n<li>Assist in reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings, and RFIs to provide technical clarifications as needed.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain tools, templates, and logs to improve documentation and operational efficiency.</li>\n<li>Participate in project meetings, offering technical support and tracking action items.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.</li>\n<li>2–5 years of experience in construction engineering, project controls, or operations support.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, including earthworks, utilities, and structural concrete.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with remote collaboration and project support tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Procore.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project or Primavera).</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to support cross-functional teams remotely.</li>\n<li>Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of French or Kinyarwanda is a plus.</li>\n<li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally to align with U.S. time zones for critical meetings.</li>\n</ul>",
