    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>We have an exciting opportunity as a Part-Time Meter Reader to join our team! </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will read customer gas and water meters according to scheduled routes. Records readings on a hand-held computer. Watches for, investigates, and reports any gas and/or water leaks or other irregularities in meter service or Citizens Energy Group facilities. Works directly with customers to gain access to meters, resolve reading issues, and answers questions. Maintains a high read accuracy rate and read completion rate while minimizing customer inconvenience and complaints.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary: Hourly Pay Rate: $18.65 can make up to $19.50 with incentives</p>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>Work Schedule Availability: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm</strong>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Read gas and water meters on scheduled routes</li>\n <li>Customer Relations (problem solving)</li>\n <li>Driving of employee provided vehicle</li>\n <li>Watch for, investigate, and report gas and water leaks and irregularities</li>\n <li>Clerical Work (mileage reports, time cards, update customer information in system)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid Indiana Drivers License</li>\n <li>Must have reliable, insured transportation to perform daily, on-site, work duties.</li>\n <li>Must be available for training and have ability to work flexible part-time hours</li>\n <li>Must possess strong oral and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Must hold valid Indiana Drivers License</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in inclement weather and other conditions including but not limited to lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing and pulling</li>\n <li><p>Must have a safe driving record including no history of serious traffic violations, accidents, suspensions/revocations, or DUI/DWI convictions within the last three years.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills/Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous Delivery or Route experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Previous Outside Work experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Previous Customer Service experience is preferred</li>\n <li>Fluent reading and speaking English and Spanish is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Deadline to apply:</strong> The position will remain open until filled.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Citizens is a drug-free, Equal Opportunity employer.
