We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The APP is a nurse practitioner or certified physician assistant who will provide care for patients receiving immunotherapy and cellular therapies as well as standard admissions for chemotherapy or toxicities of treatment/underlying disease.  The APP is responsible for the primary care of the patient as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team led by an attending physician.  Responsibilities include obtain medical history, perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic studies, radiographs and prescribe treatments.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Works as part on an interdisciplinary team on the inpatient wards at UWMC working 12 hour rotating shifts to cover 7 days per week.</li>\n <li>Performs complex and problem-focused H & P’s; rounds daily with team and attending physician.</li>\n <li>Evaluates and manages all aspects of care for medical oncology and hematology inpatients.</li>\n <li>Performs procedures (bone marrow, LP, etc.) according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice</li>\n <li>Collaborates and consults with other disciplines and services</li>\n <li>Communicates changes and transitions from inpatient to outpatient in a seamless fashion and communicates changes in patient’s health status or urgent patient issues to the patient’s primary oncology team.</li>\n <li>Participates in patient rounds, conferences and committees</li>\n <li>Actively participates in clinical aspects of research trials</li>\n <li>Documents patient care data in accordance with the Fred Hutch and UWP policies</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must!  Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.</li>\n <li>Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.</li>\n <li>Washington state & DEA licensure required.</li>\n <li>ACLS required within 6 months of start date.</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One year experience as an ARNP or PA-C; Hematology, Oncology, or Inpatient experience strongly preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annual base salary range for this position is from $131,000 to $201,456, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
