    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Job Summary</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">:  The Summer School Interventionist-Teacher will support instructional staff in accelerating student learning during summer programming across core academic areas (Math, Science, ELAR/Writing, and Social Studies). This role is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating targeted interventions to address academic gaps and support student achievement. The Interventionist will primarily serve at-risk students through Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies, focused small-group instruction, and individualized academic support. The role includes ongoing progress monitoring, data analysis, and collaboration with teachers and campus teams to ensure student growth during the summer session. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities: </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide direct instructional support to students through targeted intervention during summer school programming.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Plan and implement engaging, data-driven instructional activities aligned with student needs and academic goals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain awareness of student goals, RTI plans, and instructional targets throughout the summer session.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and adjust instruction accordingly.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Deliver one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions focused on academic acceleration and remediation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conduct frequent progress monitoring to track student growth and inform instructional decisions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate in summer school team meetings to review student data and adjust interventions as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Serve as part of the campus-based problem-solving and RTI support team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Demonstrate knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) across core content areas.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Implement research-based instructional strategies to improve student outcomes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Communicate professionally with students, staff, and families regarding student progress and academic needs.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain strong organizational skills and meet all summer program deadlines and expectations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support the development of individualized student success plans in collaboration with teachers and staff.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Foster a positive, supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Maintain accurate RTI documentation and progress monitoring records for compliance and reporting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Complete all required data entry and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Attend and actively participate in summer professional development and planning sessions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist with the preparation and administration of STAAR-related activities, as applicable.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the summer program.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A willingness to perform other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Education:  </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\"> </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year, accredited university. Master’s Degree preferred.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Certification:  </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">NCLB, Highly qualified, valid Texas Teaching Certificate as required by teaching assignment or acceptance to approved Alternative Certification Program, and results of the TEXes exam. Preferred</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Work Experience:  </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">1 to 3 years of teaching experience. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Competencies: </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Proficiency in both oral and written English, as well as strong interpersonal communication skills, are required. Computer data entry skills.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Equipment Used: </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Microsoft Office, Eduphoria, Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier). General Knowledge of accounting procedures, district policies, and school law.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Working/Environmental Conditions/Mental Demands/Physical Demands: </span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Ability to work effectively in a prescribed instructional setting and the ability to operate in fast-paced, complex settings while maintaining a high degree of organization and efficiency required.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">FUNDING SOURCE: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Fund Source:   21ST Century: 2026-2027 NITA M.
