We invite Advanced Practice Providers to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds and visionaries together in our <span>Gastroenterology &amp; Hepatology </span>team at Atrium Health in Shelby, NC.<span> </span>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Job details:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>100% Adult medicine; Hybrid position</li>\n <li>During Inpatient Week, APP will be responsible for all new consults and rounding.</li>\n <li>Inpatient census average 10-15 patients daily</li>\n <li>During Outpatient Week, APP will be responsible for clinic position M-F 8-4:00PM</li>\n <li>During Outpatient Week, One Half-Day of Administrative Time&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Outpatient census average 14 patients daily</li>\n <li>The practice is comprised of three physicians and four APPs</li>\n <li>Nightly phone call rotation required- average of call every 5th week. Rotated with other APPs.&nbsp; \n  <ul>\n   <li>Additional compensation for night call</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Who you are:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experienced APP with at least 2 years of Gastroenterology experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with PEG tube insertions and exchanges preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required.</li>\n <li>Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body is required. Acute Care board certification required based upon population and acuity served.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Atrium Health in Shelby</b> is a 241-bed hospital serving greater <b>Cleveland County, NC</b>, and the surrounding region.
