    "description_html": "The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for developing new client relationships primarily in Middlesex County to increase the loan portfolio and associated deposit balances.<br><br><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b><ul><li>Develop a diverse commercial loan portfolio through actively seeking new business.</li><li>Assist in all phases of the loan life cycle (from application to close) by:<ul><li>Identifying and evaluating commercial loan opportunities.</li><li>Present and recommend appropriate loans to the Bank’s credit committee.</li><li>Compile necessary information needed for underwriters to accurately evaluate the deal.</li><li>Consistently communicate with the borrower and Bank staff throughout the loan process.</li><li>Work with the loan closing team and Bank’s attorney to close the loan.</li></ul></li><li>Meet and exceed annual lending goals set forth by the Bank.</li><li>Understand Bank credit policy as well as regulatory requirements to ensure all loans are in compliance.</li></ul><b>JOB QUALIFICATIONS</b><ul><li>5+ years of commercial lending experience including both C&I and CRE loans</li><li>Strong understanding of credit risk and sound underwriting principles.</li><li>Strong understanding of the Banking industry and the regulatory requirements associated with it</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting preferred</li><li>Excellent communication and organization skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and computer skills including Microsoft Office products and lending programs</li><li>Proven track record of relationship/portfolio management as well as loan origination</li></ul><strong>The salary range for this position is $130000 - $160000 per year</strong><p><span style=\\\"font-size:16px\\\"><span style=\\\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\\\"><strong>About Northern Bank & Trust Company</strong></span></span></p>\n\n<p><span style=\\\"font-size:16px\\\"><span style=\\\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\\\">Northern Bank is a full-service bank dedicated to providing practical, common sense financial solutions to help our customers live their lives and grow their businesses.
