          "text": "<p>We are building next‑generation <strong>trust infrastructure</strong>—high‑performance systems that power certificate lifecycle and emerging industry trust models.</p><p>We are looking for Senior to Principal level DevOps Engineers who focus on <strong>turning complex distributed systems into production‑grade services</strong>: defining how they are deployed, operated, scaled, and recovered in real-world environments. These systems require <strong>high correctness, resilience, and operational discipline</strong> from day one.</p><p>You will work closely with engineering and architecture to ensure that production readiness is not an afterthought, but a <strong>core design input</strong>. This includes collaboration across the broader ecosystem and engagement with upstream components to help shape <strong>how modern trust infrastructure is actually operated in production</strong>.<br>\n<br>\nThis is a full-time position, working in a hybrid model, and reporting to our Ottawa office at least 3-4 days a week.&#xa0;The target compensation package for this role is between CAD 130,000 and CAD 170,000, subject to internal equity and years of experience. &#xa0;We may make further adjustments through an approval process if the targeted compensation range needs to be modified based on business needs and market trends.</p><p>Who You Are</p><ul><li>You think beyond deployment—you think in terms of operability, failure, and recovery</li><li>You are disciplined about production reality, not just engineering intent</li><li>You enjoy working at the intersection of engineering and operations, shaping systems early</li><li>You can collaborate across teams and influence how systems are designed, not just run</li></ul><p>Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:&#xa0;</p><p>Define and deliver production readiness</p><ul><li>Define what “production‑ready” means for trust infrastructure systems (availability, resilience, SLOs, failure recovery)</li><li>Build and enforce observability standards (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) aligned to real operational needs</li><li>Establish operational guardrails that prevent demo-to-production drift</li></ul><p>Build deployment and operational systems</p><ul><li>Design and implement deployment pipelines, rollout strategies, and rollback mechanisms</li><li>Build Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for repeatable, reliable system deployment</li><li>Ensure systems are portable and deployable beyond single environments or cloud-native assumptions</li></ul><p>Validate real-world behavior</p><ul><li>Design and execute load, stress, and failure testing to validate system behavior under real conditions</li><li>Implement and test multi-region, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies</li><li>Continuously validate capacity, scaling limits, and degradation patterns</li></ul><p>Collaborate across engineering and ecosystem boundaries</p><ul><li>Work closely with backend and architecture teams to integrate operational concerns into system design from day one</li><li>Collaborate with ecosystem partners and upstream components to align on production operability requirements</li><li>Ensure external dependencies and upstream components meet real-world operational constraints</li></ul><p>Additional tasks associated with this position may be assigned in response to company initiatives and business needs.</p>",
