    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY</u></strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-hyphenate:none;tab-stops:-.5in;text-align:justify;\">Under the direction of supervisors is directly responsible for the prompt, efficient and accurate performance of a variety of specimen collection and handling procedures.&nbsp; Will collect specimens from in-patients, out-patients, nursing homes and other facilities as required.</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p><ol><li>High school graduate or equivalent.</li><li>Graduate of a certified Phlebotomy program or equivalent.</li></ol><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>Experience:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Preference may be given to a candidate&nbsp;with experience in a hospital laboratory as a phlebotomist.</li></ol><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, medical staff, visitors, and other Medical Center personnel.</li><li>Must be able to make mature judgments.</li><li>Must possess a pleasant personality for dealing with patients.</li></ol><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>License/Certification/Registration:</u></strong></p><ol><li>Certified Phlebotomist with ASCP, AMT, CLSI or equivalent certification.</li><li>Must have valid Driver’s License and an available vehicle.</li><li>Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.</li></ol><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>SUPERVISION RECEIVED</u></strong></p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"mso-hyphenate:none;tab-stops:-1.0in -.5in 0in 21.9pt 43.8pt 65.7pt 1.0in;\">Receives general supervision from the Medical Director, Administrative Director, Assistant Administrative Director, Supervising Technologist, and Section Heads.</p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><u>SUPERVISION GIVEN</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0px;\"><span style=\"font-family:;\"><span arial\",sans-serif;\"=\"\">None</span></span></p>",
