Job Description: Ennoble Care is looking for an organized, full-time, Hospice Medical Records Clerk to join our office team in Hackettstown, NJ ! Responsibilities: Supervise Medical Records department. Maintain medical records in locked cabinets to assure confidentiality of patient information. Set up new patient clinical records. File documentation in patient charts in chronological order in appropriate locations. Monitor check-in and check-out of patient charts by office and field staff. Assist staff in locating charts and documentation. Log in and out physician orders and mail orders to the appropriate physicians. Prepare paperwork for IDG meetings. Send attending physicians IDG updates following IDG meetings. Develop and implement systems to ensure organization and timely retrieval of documentation. Break down discharged patients' records. Maintain and store all discharged patient charts. Assist with the orientation of new employees as requested. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator. Job Conditions It is primarily a desk job which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping and walking, as well as telephone communication. Travel may be required, by car or airplane, to local, out-of-town or state seminars, conferences or meetings. It requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts. Equipment Operation The job requires the ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other related office equipment. Company Information Has access to all patient medical records. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience as a record manager preferred. Should be a skilled organizer who is able to manage office files, logbooks and staff schedules. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (particularly savvy with Excel) Detail oriented.
