In this role, the engineer leads compliance planning throughout the product lifecycle, partnering with design, hardware, and firmware teams to define requirements, evaluate design decisions, and mitigate risks early in the development cycle. They prepare test plans, coordinate internal pre-compliance evaluations, and manage relationships with third-party laboratories to complete formal certification testing. This position also involves maintaining a deep understanding of evolving UL and FCC requirements and translating them into clear, actionable guidance for engineering teams.</p>\n<p>Beyond testing and documentation, the Compliance Engineer drives continuous improvement in compliance processes, ensuring efficient product approvals and reducing costly redesign cycles. They develop and maintain technical files, regulatory documentation, declarations of conformity, and risk assessments to support product launches and audits. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication across technical and non-technical groups, and the ability to balance safety, performance, and regulatory constraints in complex electronic control systems.</p>\n<p>This position will serve Rheem’s <strong>Enterprise </strong>Division, located in <strong>Indianapolis, IN (Onsite</strong>).</p>",
