We ensure that their gifts transform the lives of those suffering from blindness, and advance new treatments and cures for blindness.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Summary</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\">Eversight&#39;s Auxiliary Recovery Technician is a part-time position for Eversight&#39;s New Jersey team. This position is responsible for performing human eye enucleations and/or in situ corneal excisions according to Eversight protocols when a deceased individual or Next-of-Kin gives permission for eye tissue donation. On-the job training on eye tissue recovery procedures will be provided.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Schedule flexibility with most help needed during days, nights and weekends.&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\"><strong>After completing onboarding, Eversight will pay for travel to Chicago for a training period lasting 1-2 weeks.&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Compensation is $125 per completed case + mileage reimbursement</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\" id=\"isPasted\">Perform in situ human eye enucleations, corneal excisions, or other ocular tissue recoveries. Make appropriate procurement determinations based on donor, medical and body inspection.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\" id=\"isPasted\">Package and deliver transport container with eyes/corneas, blood samples and paperwork to the designated area.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px;\">Effectively communicate with staff regarding recovery logistics and coordinate recovery with other organizations. Travel to procurement sites is required. Turning of a donor of up to 400 pounds, pushing a stretcher/morgue cart with a body of up to that weight and/or lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. The majority of time is spent standing and walking as well as lifting. Simultaneous use of both hands is required. Movements such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and bending are sometimes required. Audio, visual and verbal functions are vital aspects of this position. Limited noise, room temperature fluctuation and dust are possible. Routine use of computer.
