    "description": "<p>November 19, 2025</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NORTH WELLINGTON HEALTH CARE</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">LOUISE MARSHALL HOSPITAL</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">POSTING #2025-217</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REGISTERED NURSE - ONCOLOGY </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">(CASUAL)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>A casual Registered Nurse position is available at Louise Marshall Hospital within the Oncology department. </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>The Oncology Nurse will be involved in all aspects of the oncology and medical day care program including, but not limited to: patient/family assessment, administering &amp; teaching chemotherapy, medical day care activities, providing supportive and palliative care, participation in the development &amp; implementation of patient treatment plans, quality improvement processes, and facilitation of referrals and research initiatives.</span></p>\n<p><span>                                                               </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS: </span>      </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing</span></li>\n<li><span>BScN or related degree completed or in progress preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Completion of de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course mandatory</span></li>\n<li><span>Completion of de Souza Foundations in Oncology Nursing Practice preferred</span></li>\n<li><span>Certificate in Oncology Nursing CON(C) an asset</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience with intravenous insertion, PICC and Portacath access</span></li>\n<li><span>Current experience in systemic chemotherapy administration</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience with medical day care procedures including but not limited to paracentesis, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsy, and lumbar puncture</span></li>\n<li><span>Current BCLS certification</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge &amp; application of principles of oncology and palliative care nursing</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated experience in working both independently and as part of inter-professional team</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated leadership abilities</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent interpersonal &amp; communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent attendance record</span></li>\n<li><span>Computer literacy; working knowledge of a variety of computer systems &amp; software applications</span></li>\n<li><span>Demonstrated commitment to professional development, continuing education and clinical training programs</span></li>\n<li>Satisfactory performance and attendance required</li>\n<li>Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date</li>\n<li>Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check</li>\n<li>Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SALARY:  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: var(--gray10,#222); font-size: var(--font-size-medium,15px)\">$40.24- $57.68 per hour</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">HOURS OF WORK:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>As per department schedule, on an as needed basis</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>Interested applicants</span><span> please submit your cover letter and resume on BambooHR at the following link: <a href=\"https://whca.bamboohr.com/jobs/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https://whca.bamboohr.com/jobs/</a> <br></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">INTERNAL applicants</span> please apply with your work email address.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EXTERNAL applicants</span><span> are considered only after the internal posting process has been completed.
