    "description": "<h2>Working Hours/Days</h2>6:30am - 3:30pm\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Shop supervisor is accountable for the efficiency and discipline of all shop technicians assigned to him/her. He/she must possess a deep knowledge of construction equipment repair processes and have excellent organizational skills. Customer relations and customer satisfaction are also key ingredients of the job.   </p>\n<h2>Basic Duties</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exemplify our Corporate Values of Integrity, Customer Focus, Accountability and Teamwork</li>\n <li>Provide leadership and direction as required to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement and profitability</li>\n <li>Conduct regular meetings to coordinate activities, provide guidance, gather information and communicate company strategy</li>\n <li>Manage work-flow and scheduling to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and shop efficiency</li>\n <li>Manage service, repair and reconditioning of machines and components.</li>\n <li>Manage shop service customer communications and instill deep customer loyalty.</li>\n <li>Manage the work order process from opening jobs through job invoicing</li>\n <li>Develop quotes for complex jobs and quote approvals</li>\n <li>Consistently enforce work rules and company policies</li>\n <li>Effectively manage all Work In Progress (WIP)</li>\n <li>Conduct semi-annual performance reviews for all direct reports</li>\n <li>Ensure operations conform to industry and company performance metrics and benchmarks</li>\n <li>Occasionally participate in sales calls with Sales Reps.</li>\n <li>Perform all safety inspections on field vehicles and current employee safety programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Altorfer Industries offers an industry leading compensation and benefit package:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance</li>\n <li>401(k)</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Paid Parental Leave and Funeral Leave        </li>\n <li>Paid Time Off: Prorated 80 hours of PTO</li>\n <li>Education Assistance</li>\n <li>Voluntary Benefits: Supplemental Insurance, Accident, Critical and Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Legal Assistance and Identity & Fraud Protection</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Payrate:$75,000 - $85,000 Annually</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree preferred with minimum of two years management experience in construction equipment service and repair</li>\n <li>Experience as an Equipment Manager or Service Manager a plus</li>\n <li>Advanced user of all Microsoft Office products to include Excel</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Caterpillar programs DBSi, PSQ , SMIS 2 and PSEL a plus</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of DSI dispatch system a plus</li>\n <li>Ability to understand, interpret and leverage performance metrics related to efficiency, productivity, profitability, safety, market share, resource deployment and general operations.</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication, management, leadership and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations as they relate to the industry</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Posted Min</h2>USD $75,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Posted Max</h2>USD $85,000.00/Yr.\n<h2>Physical Requirements/Working Conditions</h2>\n<p>This position works in an office environment some of the time and in service shop environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at a desk for a long period of time; answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. May on a continuous basis be on shop floor supporting service operations.  Noise level in the shop environment is usually moderate, and the noise level in the office environment is usually low. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional local travel may be required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
