The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the hospice volunteer program and ensures the right volunteers are matched with the right families during the difficult transition.</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Recruit, select, train, and coordinate hospice volunteers.</li>\n <li>Design and deliver volunteer programs and services to meet patient, family and partner needs and enhance the customer experience</li>\n <li>Assign volunteers based on program needs and the volunteers’ interests and skills.</li>\n <li>Monitor and evaluate volunteers’ performance.</li>\n <li>Plan and conduct volunteer support meetings, volunteer appreciation gatherings, and volunteer retreats.</li>\n <li>Facilitate community awareness and support of Enhabit Hospice volunteer program.</li>\n <li>Assist Medical Social Work with community bereavement awareness as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This is a part time position.  Hospice Volunteer Coordinators typically work 10-20 hours each week.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Hospice experience is strongly preferred.</strong></li>\n <li>Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.</li>\n <li>Strong typing skills, clerical skills, and be competent with computers.</li>\n <li>Must have demonstrated experience in volunteer activity, and the ability to execute a supportive and sensitive approach to volunteer and patient/family need.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid state driver license</li>\n <li>Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law</li>\n <li>Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition</li>\n <li>Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions* For employees located in Oregon, requirements related to driving are not applicable unless employee has a clinical license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>If you are interested in this position, please APPLY NOW by completing an online application! </strong></p>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p><em>Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is an equal opportunity employer.
