This position models YMCA leadership competencies and fosters a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting the mission and strategic priorities of the YMCA of Greater Rochester.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><p>· Supervise and lead Power Scholar Teachers</p><p>· Adapt and facilitate professional development for instructional staff on research based instructional strategies that engage all students across subject areas (ELA and math).</p><p>· Conduct classroom observations to ensure proper implementation of curriculum, instructional practices, and classroom/behavior management. Provide feedback to staff on instructional practices and observations.</p><p>· Identify staff learning needs and develop just-in-time, appropriate individualized or group professional development and coaching to meet needs</p><p>· Review lesson plans and other instructional support tools, provide timely feedback, and create and maintain “best practice” instructional strategies and resources for staff</p><p>· Oversee the implementation of instruction, including curriculum implementation, instructional methods and practices, and classroom and behavior management</p><p>· Collaborate with members of the Leadership Team to ensure a safe, productive, and efficient program for staff and scholars</p><p>· Monitor scholars’ educational and social progress and make necessary recommendations for adjustments</p><p>· Review and analyze diagnostic and on-going formal assessment data with teaching staff and develop appropriate instructional groups</p><p>· Coach staff on continuing use of assessments and assessment data to adjust instruction and instructional groupings</p><p>· Coach and support staff in the implementation of data-driven and differentiated instructional practices in both literacy and mathematics</p><p>· Ensure uniformity and timeliness of assessments and family reporting</p><p>· Act as a liaison with Encompass</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>",
