About the Opportunity
The Jewish Foundation is seeking to hire a Philanthropic Specialist to provide a variety of donor management, project management and administrative support services to various members of the Jewish Foundation and its fundholders/donors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
For a portfolio of funds/fundholders including both individual and organizational funds, be the Primary contact for fundholder communications and coordination of transactions.
Develop relationships, understand charitable interests, ensure connection to the Jewish community, respond to queries, and assist with transactions. Interactions also include advisors and children/successor fund advisors.
Understand fund legal agreements and assist with amendments p
Manage reporting of fund information to donors
Manage outreach to donors including emails, quarterly and annual mailings
Support and help plan projects and events
Attend donor related events and interact with fundholders
Assist with project s /program s /committee s within the Jewish Foundation team and follow up as needed internally and externally with appropriate stakeholders , including but not limited to fundholders, committee members, donors and volunteers
Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to Philanthropic Advisors across projects, Foundation events, and day-to-day workflow management, ensuring timelines are tracked, priorities are coordinated, and potential issues are identified and escalated proactively.
Understand, maintain , and suggest improvements to the Foundation’s CRM system and related business processes
Contribute to the coordination of writing, editing and layout of reports and other report content
Qualifications
Completion of post-secondary school
3-5 y ears of e xperience creating systems, general project management and administrative support a must .
Passionate advocate and visible champion of UJA’s mission, values, and goals, inspiring others through action and unwavering commitment to advancing our shared purpose.
A dvanced technical skills to support use of Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite
Proven experience with office productivity and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook)
Experience providing administrative and operational support to senior stakeholders, including project coordination, workflow management, and event support.
Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to work independently to meet timelines and priorities
Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills – ability to work with a diverse group of professionals, donors and volunteers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail; strategic thinker
Enthusiasm, creativity, innovation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
This is a full-time permanent position. Union Level 4 . Salary range: $ 65 ,00-$ 75 ,000 annually , based on experience . At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work. Engagement and connection are key to supporting the best employee experience and we want to ensure that this puts balance and well-being at the forefront of our approach to ways of working. In addition to a rich time off policy, UJA’s offices are closed on all Jewish holy days ( yom tov ) and we support early office closures to observe the Jewish Sabbath (Shabbat).
