    "description": "<h2>More information about this job</h2>\n<p>Overview</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Deep Foundations Area Project Superintendent must have at least five years of experience in all types of deep foundation work and experience with at least some of the following types of piles: drilled displacement piles, augercast-in-place, concrete piles, timber piles, H-pile, pipe pile, sheet pile, drilled shafts & helical piles. Supports and coordinates with jobsite superintendent and project management to direct construction activities in the field. Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on the basis of starting and completion times, staffing requirements, and other variables for each phase of construction. Directs field personnel and subcontractors in executing work and the coordination of various phases of construction to prevent delays. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment. Will be required to work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>· Order procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules</p>\n<p>· Confer with management to resolve complaints and grievances within the workforce</p>\n<p>· Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules</p>\n<p>· Prepare and/or review reports on progress, material usage and cost, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports</p>\n<p>· Communicate and coordinate subcontractors to operate at the highest level and meet Cajun’s expectations</p>\n<p>· Quality control</p>\n<p>· Development of employees</p>\n<p>· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned</p>\n<p>· Assist other craft workers as needed</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Qualifications</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Physical</p>\n<p>· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., but may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.</p>\n<p>· Hearing and comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions</p>\n<p>· Will need to perform sedentary to heavy work</p>\n<p>· Will operate office equipment of all types</p>\n<p>· Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds</p>\n<p>· Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis</p>\n<p>· Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, reaching overhead, squatting, sitting or standing and lifting</p>\n<p>· Must be able to manipulate and traverse uneven terrain, ladders, and multi-floor buildings with no elevator</p>\n<p>· Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.</p>\n<p>· Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)</p>\n<p>· Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus</p>\n<p>· Ability to drive cars/trucks as needed</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Mental</p>\n<p>· Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management/ supervision and field workers</p>\n<p>· Talking and reading & writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy</p>\n<p>· Ability to use math/complete calculations</p>\n<p>Job title Deep Foundations Area Project Superintendent Craft Code 050.053 Ins.
