RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check and review incoming orders and prepare outgoing orders.</li>\n<li>Count and examine items in incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, and other internal records.</li>\n<li>Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to resolve shortage.</li>\n<li>Ensure all parts are stored in the proper place.</li>\n<li>Maintain and review the receiving and shipping records.</li>\n<li>Review outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications, if there are discrepancies document and report to the Parts Manager.</li>\n<li>Maintain an accurate inventory of shipping materials and supplies.</li>\n<li>Greet parts customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.</li>\n<li>Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors in a timely manner consistent with department schedule.</li>\n<li>Offer appropriate advice on parts and accessories to customer inquiries during delivery.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with Parts Manager and Parts Counter Associate prior to picking up parts and equipment from customers and vendors.</li>\n<li>Document and report any customer complaints that cannot be satisfied at the Parts Driver level, and refer each situation back to the Parts Manager for assistance.</li>\n<li>Help maintain the professional appearance of the Parts Department by basic upkeep of the parts truck ensuring cleanliness and tidiness, along with helping keep the department in a presentable manner at all times.</li>\n<li>Report any maintenance required on the parts truck immediately.</li>\n<li>Lifting of heavy parts and/or cartons when assigned.</li>\n<li>Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately, report any and all accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.</li>\n<li>This position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.</li>\n<li>OpenRoad reserves the right to modify this job description as business needs require.</li>\n<li><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of automotive equipment, parts and accessories.</li>\n<li>Current knowledge of local sources of supply.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of techniques for receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.</li>\n<li>Well organized and detail oriented, with ability to maintain records and prepare reports using a computerized system.</li>\n<li>Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</li>\n<li>Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</li>\n<li>Good computer skills (ideally Reynolds &amp; Reynolds or ADP).</li>\n<li>Ability to self-direct and complete assignments on time with minimal supervision.</li>\n<li>Strong customer relation skills, and maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.</li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of the Lower Mainland and strong ability to read maps.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of automotive equipment parts and accessories.</li>\n<li>Current knowledge of local sources of supply.</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively work against deadlines.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of techniques for receiving, storing, and issuing parts and supplies.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</li>\n<li>Ability to operate assigned equipment.</li>\n<li>Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.</li>\n<li>A valid British Columbia driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years driving experience.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Internal Candidates MUST apply by filling out the <a href=\"https://intranet.openroadautogroup.com/forms/viewform.cfm?formid=191\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Internal Endorsement Form</a> on the Intranet.
