The <strong>Electrical Engineer</strong> will be responsible for directing daily activity of Industrial Electricians to minimize equipment downtime. Additionally, this person will provide electrical/electronic expertise to troubleshoot and upgrade all plant equipment.  This role is located in <strong>Buffalo, NY</strong>, and will be fully on-site.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000</p>\n<p><em>May be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within the fiscal year cycle.  </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include, but are not limited to, years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze recurring equipment problems, recommend and implement long-term solutions to increase plant productivity and efficiency.</li>\n <li>Duties include the planning, scheduling, design, supervision, implementation, commissioning, and creating/modifying documentation and drawings of electrical/electronic projects on a small/medium scale.</li>\n <li>Maintain and enhance plant electrical/electronic schematics and literature to provide sufficient technical resources of information and minimize electrical/electronic breakdown time.</li>\n <li>Maintain system software backups and system documentation.</li>\n <li>Instruct peers on updated troubleshooting techniques and attend pertinent training programs and seminars to acquire state-of-the-art knowledge of electrical/electronic industrial systems.</li>\n <li>Maintain spare parts and test equipment to ensure effective maintenance and repair of all plant electrical/electronic equipment.</li>\n <li>Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies. Promote a climate of positive labor relations by adhering to the labor contract.</li>\n <li>Work alongside mechanical trades and engineers in troubleshooting machine issues.</li>\n <li>Work with production employees in understanding and resolving obstacles.</li>\n <li>Participate in continuous improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949 programs and procedures though active participation in the near miss program.</li>\n <li>Handles containerizing and labeling universal wastes, including batteries and lamps, as well as spent aerosol cans (HW).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Electrical Engineer Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS/BT degree in Electrical Engineering.</li>\n <li>Two (2) years of industrial experience, including PLC, AC/DC drives, industrial instrumentation, motor controls experience required; Five (5) years industrial experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is required.</li>\n <li>Experience with high-power applications is required.</li>\n <li>Six Sigma certification preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Joining Wieland’s team gives you…</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Benefits</strong> - <strong> </strong>Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!</li>\n <li><strong>Retirement Savings</strong> - 401(k) contribution + match.</li>\n <li><strong>Work/Life Balance</strong> - Paid Vacation & Holidays.</li>\n <li><strong>Growth Opportunities</strong> - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
