We offer competitive pay and benefits, opportunities for growth, and a supportive work culture.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>About the Associate Scientist role: &nbsp;</strong>The Associate Scientist, reporting to the Diagnostic Team Leader, is responsible for assisting and supporting; cell culture, virus isolation, bacteriology, PCR and Sequencing, in the preparation of isolates for autogenous vaccine production, within the guidelines set by regulatory agencies.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong>:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work under minimal supervision to assist with projects while maintaining a high level of process clarity with direct management</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow SOPS in an efficient and accurate manner</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Initiate and maintain continuous cell lines for use in virus isolation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Produce primary cells for virus isolation&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop, perform, and optimize fluorescent antibody detection</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform viral and bacterial antigen isolation for use in autogenous products</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Receive and accession bacterial and viral clinical samples into LIMS</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain updates in LIMS on status of viral and bacterial samples</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist in molecular laboratories as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Clean and maintain the aseptic environment; maintain cleanliness of facilities&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with necessary documentation, ensuring accurate and complete information</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain inventory of laboratory consumables and clinical samples</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist in investigation of laboratory error to identify root cause and prevent repeated errors</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist other departments as requested and complete other duties as assigned&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications and Capabilities:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Hands on experience in basic cell culture, virology, and/or bacteriology.
