Description

Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research. A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available within the lab of Dr. Robert Jenq. The Jenq Lab examines the impact of microbiomes on cancer treatment outcomes, with a focus on bone marrow transplantation and cancer immunotherapies. Data from our group and others have demonstrated that the microbiome can be a potent modulator of treatment efficacy and toxicity. Using a multidisciplinary approach, including microbiome sequencing, computational methods, functional assays and preclinical models, we aim to develop and translate strategies that target the microbiome to enhance treatment efficacy while reducing toxicities.
