Five years’ experience and experience with EXFO fiber equipment preferred.  Must be willing to travel.  Current fiber optic certifications preferred.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform fiber tests with OTDR’s, light source and meters</li>\n <li>Terminate, splice, bonds/grounds and tests fiber optic equipment to standards</li>\n <li>Perform installation of fiber optic equipment and patch and panels.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of fiber optics</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of networking</li>\n <li>Proficient in the operation of all related fiber tools and equipment</li>\n <li>Terminate, splice and install a variety of fiber optic connectors and enclosures</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot damaged fiber effectively and efficiently</li>\n <li>Perform fiber tests with OTDRs, light source and meters</li>\n <li>Learn and adhere to all safety standards</li>\n <li>Must be able to read and understand blue prints, designs and work scopes</li>\n <li>5 years previous experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience with the following equipment is a plus</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fusion splicer, mechanical splicer, OTDR, power meters, traffic identifiers, digital multi-meters, cleavers, strippers, buffer tube splitters, cable ring tools, hand tools, toners, duct rodders, ladders, bucket trucks, etc. is preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates or Technical Degree preferred</li>\n <li>CWDM and DWDM experience preferred </li>\n <li>Experience in carrier technologies a plus</li>\n <li>Positive attitude</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills both written and verbal</li>\n <li>Must be highly organized</li>\n <li>Must display strong work ethic, punctuality and attendance</li>\n <li><p>Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen due to this being a safety sensitive position.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EPS is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, disability, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity and sexual orientation), political affiliation, military service, national origin, age or any other characteristics protected by state or federal laws. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EPS does not work with individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies, and will not recognize claim to any unsolicited resumes or candidate information.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> #PoweringTheFuture</p>\n<p></p>",
