With a wide variety of people, global locations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.</p><p></p><p><b>This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.</b></p><p></p><p><b>The Impact You’ll Make in this Role</b></p><p></p><p>As a Product Engineering Manager for AMTP Platforms, you will have the opportunity to apply your curiosity and collaborate with innovative teams worldwide.</p><p></p><p><b>You will make an impact by</b></p><p>• Leading a team of Product Engineers focused on sustaining and improving post‑launch products and supporting scale‑up of new products</p><p>• Hiring, training, and managing Product Engineers, Technicians, and Contingent Workers to meet business objectives</p><p>• Managing a portfolio of change management projects (CMPs) for commercialized products, with emphasis on Thermal Management products, Interam, and Advanced Materials</p><p>• Prioritizing resources across CMP and NPI projects</p><p>• Ensuring proper processes and documentation are followed and completed for all CMP initiatives</p><p>• Developing and coaching cross‑functional global teams across manufacturing, regulatory, application engineering, business, quality, clinical, and other functions</p><p>• Supporting supply continuity initiatives, including raw material strategy, alternate sourcing, and supplier technical engagement</p><p>• Identifying opportunities within the product portfolio to further improve cost targets</p><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise</b></p><p>To ensure success in this role from day one, 3M requires the following minimum qualifications:</p><p></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution</p><p>• Three (3) or more years of experience managing direct reports in a technical function in a private, public, government or military environment</p><p></p><p><b>Additional qualifications that will further support your success in this role include</b></p><p></p><p>• Product, Process, and/or manufacturing experience, particularly in nonwoven technologies, adhesives, or advanced materials</p><p>• Experience developing, sustaining, or maintaining commercialized products within private, public, government, or military environments</p><p>• Proven ability to execute change management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution</p><p>• Experience developing strategies that align team objectives with broader business goals</p><p>• Demonstrated use of project management methodologies to lead cross‑functional teams and deliver results</p><p>• Experience collaborating with laboratory, quality, regulatory and manufacturing and portfolio teams</p><p>• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)</p><p>• A global open mindset</p><p></p><p><b>Work location:</b> Maplewood</p><p><b>Travel:</b> May include up to 15% domestic/international</p><p><b>Relocation Assistance:</b> Is not authorized</p><p></p><p><b>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</b></p><p></p><p><b>Supporting Your Well-being </b></p><p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
