This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance through engineering leadership related to maintenance, system optimization, regulatory compliance, reliability initiatives, and capital improvement projects.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, planning, and cross-functional coordination skills to support critical energy infrastructure operations.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<p><strong>Team Leadership & Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting plant operations and reliability initiatives </li>\n <li>Assign workloads, establish priorities, and monitor team performance against operational and project goals </li>\n <li>Support hiring activities, employee training, performance evaluations, and career development initiatives </li>\n <li>Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Plant Engineering & Reliability</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide technical oversight for generation assets including gas, steam, solar, wind, or combined-cycle systems </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot equipment and system failures while leading root-cause analysis and corrective action efforts </li>\n <li>Drive reliability, availability, and efficiency improvements across plant systems and operational processes </li>\n <li>Support outage planning, execution, and post-outage analysis activities </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Projects & Continuous Improvement</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead small to mid-sized capital projects, upgrades, and plant modification initiatives </li>\n <li>Coordinate closely with project controls, maintenance, operations, and engineering teams </li>\n <li>Manage engineering scopes, schedules, budgets, vendor coordination, and project execution activities </li>\n <li>Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compliance & Safety</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and safety requirements including standards established by the Environmental Protection Agency, North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration </li>\n <li>Maintain engineering procedures, technical standards, and operational documentation </li>\n <li>Participate in audits, inspections, safety reviews, and incident investigations </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner closely with operations, maintenance, procurement, and leadership teams to support plant objectives </li>\n <li>Support long-term asset strategy, lifecycle planning, budgeting, and reliability initiatives </li>\n <li>Prepare technical reports, operational metrics, and performance updates for management teams </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering field </li>\n <li>7–12+ years of experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial facilities </li>\n <li>Demonstrated expertise in plant systems, maintenance strategies, and reliability engineering practices </li>\n <li>Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills </li>\n <li>Knowledge of generation equipment such as turbines, boilers, generators, balance-of-plant systems, or renewable energy assets </li>\n <li>Familiarity with CMMS platforms, project management tools, and engineering software applications </li>\n <li>Understanding of regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements within power generation operations </li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced operational environments </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior experience leading engineers, technical specialists, or plant engineering teams </li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred </li>\n <li>Experience supporting outage management, capital projects, and plant optimization initiatives </li>\n <li>Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices and asset management strategies </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Primarily plant or site-based work environment </li>\n <li>Occasional off-hours
