The role spans full project lifecycle delivery—from condition assessments and field investigations to rehabilitation design recommendations and implementation oversight—while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and performance requirements</p><p>The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in building science or building envelope consulting, with demonstrated responsibility in managing technically complex projects. Experience in façade systems, roofing assemblies, waterproofing systems, and energy-efficient performance strategies is essential to support sustainable building outcomes.</p><ul><li>Lead and manage building science and building enclosure projects for new and existing residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.</li><li>Perform comprehensive reviews of architectural, structural, and building envelope design drawings and shop drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.</li><li>Conduct detailed investigations and condition assessments of building envelope systems, including cladding, roofing, below-grade waterproofing, balconies, and parking structures, to identify performance issues, deficiencies, or damage.</li><li>Plan and oversee site inspections, exploratory openings, and field testing of enclosure assemblies.</li><li>Analyze findings and prepare technical reports, deficiency reviews, and repair/rehabilitation recommendations, and present results to builders, developers, property managers, and owners.</li><li>Provide field review services during rehabilitation and renewal projects, including site meetings, mock-up reviews, deficiency reporting, and site instructions.</li><li>Review shop drawings, specifications, and material submittals for conformance with project intent, codes, and building science principles.</li><li>Support builders and developers by advising on construction methods, addressing deficiencies, and assisting with building performance–related claims.</li><li>Guide and mentor junior staff through report reviews, technical oversight, and professional development.</li><li>Participate in proposal development, including scope definition, resourcing, and fee estimates, and contribute to business development through client relationships and industry engagement.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project execution, quality assurance, and overall team performance.</li><li>Ensure compliance with the BC Building Code, WorkSafeBC requirements, and industry best practices.</li><li>Perform other duties and contribute to special projects as required.</li></ul>",
