This would include coverage verification, policy interpretation, contract interpretation, liability investigation and evaluation and negotiation of claims consistent with company policies and state regulations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct and manage the investigative process, while demonstrating ongoing communication with the customer and relevant external parties.</li>\n <li>Documenting files to include all key activities, contacts made, statements taken, including a full outline covering all aspect of the claim requirements for resolution.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate understanding of medical terms, medical treatment and injury descriptions</li>\n <li>Demonstrate collaborative efforts in managing the litigation process with outside defense counsel</li>\n <li>Recognition and evaluation of potential exposures under the policy to establish timely, adequate reserves</li>\n <li>Conduct and manage the investigative process, while demonstrating ongoing communication with the customer and relevant external parties.</li>\n <li>Documenting files to include all key activities, contacts made, statements taken, including a full outline covering all aspect of the claim requirements for resolution.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate understanding of medical terms, medical treatment and injury descriptions</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Contractual Risk Transfer concepts and anti-indemnity laws</li>\n <li>Recognition and evaluation of potential exposures under the policy to establish timely, adequate reserves</li>\n <li>Manage the claim authorization process and negotiate claims with significant complexity</li>\n <li>Negotiation and settlement skills.</li>\n <li>May be deposed or testify in claims negotiations or trials</li>\n <li>Ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communications; with ability to listen well.</li>\n <li>Uphold a high standard of customer service.</li>\n <li>Ability to use a win-win approach to resolve controversy.</li>\n <li>Recognizes differences in opinions and misunderstandings and encourages open discussion while working towards resolution.</li>\n <li>Accepts individual responsibility for all actions taken.
