As collaborative teams, we engineer and manufacture steel joists and deck, supporting the needs of high-profile and important commercial construction projects.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>New Millennium operates with a decentralized structure, empowering employees to make decisions and drive results at the local level.</li>\n <li>Team members are encouraged to challenge the status quo and continuously improve processes.</li>\n <li>Strong culture of internal promotion, accountability, and performance-based rewards.</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Accountant Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify accuracy and completeness of daily accounting activities at the plant including, but not limited to, inventory, shipping, invoicing, purchasing and accounts payable.</li>\n <li>Verify all material movements are documented and reconciled daily.</li>\n <li>Work with plant manager to ensure production data is reported accurately and timely.</li>\n <li>Assist the division controller with internal control compliance and identifying opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.</li>\n <li>Assist the division controller with month-end accounting duties including, but not limited to, ensuring proper cut-off for invoicing, documenting revenue recognition, reconciling accounts payable, inventory. and material cost of goods sold, journal entries, financial reporting and forecasting.</li>\n <li>Interact with various departments and SDI locations to assist with accounting and accounts payable.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4-year Accounting or Finance degree or at least two years of manufacturing accounting experience.</li>\n <li>Experience performing and reconciling inventory counts.</li>\n <li>Experience with month-end closing and reconciling general ledger accounts.</li>\n <li>Strong Microsoft Excel skills.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving abilities.</li>\n <li>Ability to trace transactions through production and accounting systems and identify errors.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with maintaining manufacturing inventory. </li>\n <li>Experience with Microsoft Business Central accounting software. </li>\n <li>General understanding of inventory accounting processes.</li>\n <li>Experience developing reports to improve controls or automate processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Steel Dynamics will not provide Visa sponsorship for this position.
