Be a part of the best, most experienced team in the industry.</p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>The company is currently seeking an experienced <strong>Controls Project Engineer</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Project Engineer manages the controls development and delivery of airport baggage security systems. You will partner with the project manager, engineering staff and our customer to deliver a successful project. You will lead a team designing electrical device layouts, control panel drawings, wiring schematics, descriptions of operations, PLC programming, and graphical reporting systems.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Major Areas of Responsibility</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervising a team of Controls Engineer employees including performance revies, timecards, and adherence to employment requirements.</li>\n <li>Executing projects from conception through client handover.</li>\n <li>Coordinating a team of controls engineers and detailers in cooperation with a mechanical engineering team and project management.</li>\n <li>Managing requirements, integration, and configuration changes throughout projects.</li>\n <li>Engaging team members by delegation of work both on a long term and on a day-to-day basis.</li>\n <li>Creatively solving problems to optimize resources, scheduling, and budget.</li>\n <li>Meet timelines to ensure projects stay on schedule and on budget.</li>\n <li>Coaching team members on project execution and proposing technical solutions for complex problems.</li>\n <li>Overseeing system functionality and technical quality of automated applications. </li>\n <li>Attend design review meetings with the customer.</li>\n <li>Support proposals and customer inquiries.  Estimate new project work.</li>\n <li>Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.</li>\n <li>20% Travel</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Basic Knowledge </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Recognizes tasks that need to be completed and facilitates the completion of those tasks independently.</li>\n <li>Customer sites are located throughout the country; the selected candidate for this role will need to travel for commissioning of control systems and on-site engineering tasks that cannot be accomplished from our office. On occasion off-shift work may be necessary to support commissioning efforts.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong> Education & Experience </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BSEE, E.T. or relevant technical degree, or equivalent relevant work experience.</li>\n <li>Five (5) years of experience in industrial automation controls design and commissioning.</li>\n <li>Experience managing a project and related people resources.</li>\n <li>Scheduling and estimating experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Programming (ControlLogix).</li>\n <li>Experience within the material handling industry, preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with material handling equipment, preferred.</li>\n <li>Baggage handling experience, preferred.</li>\n <li>Scheduling and estimating experience required.</li>\n <li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Demonstrated Physical Abilities </strong></p>\n<p>Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Daifuku Airport America Corporation is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled, and federal sub/contractor.
