    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><em>Job Title: &nbsp;</em></strong>Track Maintainer</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Reports</em></strong><strong><em>&nbsp;to: &nbsp;</em></strong>Track Supervisor</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Position Summary:</span></h1><h1><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The Track Maintainer performs labor intensive day-to-day track and infrastructure repairs and maintenance on the commuter rail system.</span></h1><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;</span></p><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Description of Duties:</span></h1><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Maintaining and inspect the&nbsp;trackway&nbsp;features&nbsp;such as ballast, sub-ballast,&nbsp;ties and rails as well as track bolts and other rail fastening hardware and infrastructure.&nbsp;</li><li>Remove&nbsp;dust,&nbsp;dirt, grease,&nbsp;snow, ice, and waste material&nbsp;from&nbsp;tracks, turnouts, grade crossings and structures.</li><li>Cut rail and replace rail&nbsp;sections.</li><li>Load and&nbsp;unload work&nbsp;trucks at the end of each shift.</li><li>Operate heavy equipment, such as, bobcats, loader, grapple truck and any others as needed.</li><li>Perform&nbsp;welding&nbsp;functions, such as brazing and soldering metals.</li><li>Perform demolition of track and restore track for the safe passage of trains.&nbsp;</li><li>Clear&nbsp;clogged track&nbsp;drains&nbsp;and culverts.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform&nbsp;weed and vegetation control&nbsp;and&nbsp;removal&nbsp;on the right&nbsp;of&nbsp;way.</li><li>Clean and maintain&nbsp;work&nbsp;areas&nbsp;in orderly&nbsp;condition.</li><li>Complete departmental training requirements and adhere to safety, personal protective equipment, and Roadway Worker Protection programs.</li><li>Ability to perform heavy lifting-over 100 Ib./over 50 Ib. frequently/over 20 Ib. constantly.&nbsp;</li><li>Stand for sustained periods of time and work in outside environmental conditions such as extreme heat or cold.&nbsp;</li><li>Complete all other duties as&nbsp;assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><h1><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Qualifications:&nbsp;</span></h1><ul><li>Must have a High School Diploma or&nbsp;GED&nbsp;required.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude with at least 1 year of construction or track work experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to comply&nbsp;with all safety sensitive job requirements and&nbsp;testing.</li><li>Must possess a valid state driver&rsquo;s license (CDL A Preferred); be able to obtain a Class A CDL.&nbsp;</li><li>Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.</li></ul><p>Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug and alcohol screening and be willing to comply with the DTO Drug and Alcohol Policy</p></div></div></div>\n",
