It features a competitive hourly rate of<strong> $10.25/hr.</strong> with perks such as: <strong>Free entry</strong> to any Six Flags Park for all employees and a guest with each visit, additional complimentary tickets for friends and family, discount of food and merchandise for all employees, flexible scheduling, Dayforce Wallet access for earned wage access, and bi-weekly pay. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Public Safety Department it looking to hire, motivated and security conscious persons to join their team as Public Safety -Event Staff.  These individuals are responsible for the daily operation of electronic screening devices, traffic control and provide vigilant eye and presence at guest and employee entrances and other areas of the park as needed.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h4><strong>HOW YOU WILL DO IT</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>Secure gates, checking, logging, and clearing authorized personnel and vehicles presenting proper identification or passes attempting to gain access to the park.    </li>\n <li>Monitor queue's for rides and other attractions  </li>\n <li>Perform traffic control operations as required </li>\n <li>Screen guests using magnetometers   </li>\n <li>Operates EVOLV threat detection systems</li>\n <li>Conduct x-ray search of guest baggage</li>\n <li>Assist the duty manager with clearing the park after closing  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Must be at least 18 years of age.    </strong></li>\n <li>Previous security related experience preferred.    </li>\n <li>Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.    </li>\n <li>Safety conscious, mature, reliable, and dependable.    </li>\n <li>Outgoing and friendly demeanor.    </li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively (read, write and speak)</li>\n <li><strong>Work flexible/rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays during Mardi Gras. </strong></li>\n <li>Must be able stand and walk for extended periods of time.    </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h4><strong>OTHER NOTES</strong></h4>\n<ul>\n <li>May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole </li>\n <li>Reports to the Public Safety Department Leadership </li>\n</ul>",
