    "descriptionText": "Salary: CAD 79,000–80,000\n\n Description\n\nScottish Line Painting Ltd. is hiring a Thermoplastic Foreman to support and grow our thermoplastic operations.\n\nThis is a hands on, field based role This role will be a night shift role. Please do not apply if you are unwilling to work nights . You’ll be working closely with management to learn the full scope of the operation, with the goal of taking on increasing responsibility over the course of the season.\n\n The Role \n\nYou will be responsible for learning and executing all aspects of thermoplastic road marking, including:\n\n Reading and interpreting drawings\n Laying out and applying road markings\n Supporting and leading a crew on site\n Operating and troubleshooting equipment\n Maintaining safety and quality standards\n\nThis role is best suited to someone who is reliable, detail oriented, and takes pride in doing the job right .\n\n Training & First Season Expectations \n\nThe first 5 months will be a training and probation period .\n\nDuring this time, you will be expected to build capability across:\n\n Layout and measurement accuracy\n Equipment operation and troubleshooting\n Crew communication and coordination\n Productivity and job site execution\n\nWe are looking for steady progression — not perfection on day one, but clear growth over time.\n\n Requirements\n\n What We Look For \n\n Communication \n\n Clear and respectful communication with crew, management, and clients\n Ability to raise issues early and keep people informed\n\n Team Mindset \n\n Works well as part of a crew\n Steps in where needed and supports others\n Contributes to a positive, productive work environment\n\n Quality of Work \n\n Takes pride in doing the job properly\n Pays attention to detail\n Open to feedback and willing to improve\n\n Technical Expectations \n\n Road Marking Layout \n\n Accurately translate drawings into field layouts\n Measure from curbs or survey points\n Chalk, check, and adjust before application\n Keep errors and rework to a minimum\n\n Equipment \n\n Learn to operate and troubleshoot:\n\n Graco airless sprayers\n Trantex thermoplastic carts\n Graco Grindlazer\n\n Understand basic maintenance and field repairs\n\n Crew Leadership \n\n Help direct the crew to complete work on time and to standard\n Keep jobs moving efficiently\n Address issues quickly and keep the team aligned\n\n Licensing \n\n Class 5 License.\n Willingness to Complete Class 3 License and Air Brake certification\n\n Benefits\n\n Compensation & Details \n\n $38.00/hour \n Overtime and double time in accordance with union agreement\n Paid bi weekly\n\n Winter Program \n\n Minimum 80 hours per pay period made available\n OT = 1.5x, DT = 2x toward hours\n Schedule set by company directors\n\n Vacation & Benefits \n\n 12% vacation pay\n 4 weeks winter vacation\n\n 2 weeks over Christmas\n 2 weeks scheduled with management\n\n Union benefits (IUPAT DC 38)\n Company provided cell phone and plan\n\n Union Agreement \n\nEmployment is subject to the applicable collective agreement and company policies."
