This position involves processing, organizing, and analyzing survey data, preparing maps and reports, and ensuring the smooth workflow of survey projects.</p>\n<p>This role is in the office Monday-Friday. The ideal candidate we are looking for will start supporting our survey office with Survey CAD drafting, and wants to continue their career in surveying and become a licensed surveyor. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Data Processing:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Process and manage survey data collected in the field, ensuring accuracy and completeness.</li>\n <li>Utilize surveying software and computer-aided design (CAD) software to organize and process survey data.</li>\n <li>Generate precise survey drawings, maps, and documents based on field data.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Data Analysis:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze survey data to identify errors or discrepancies and make necessary corrections.</li>\n <li>Assist surveyors and engineers in interpreting survey data to support decision-making.</li>\n <li>Perform calculations to determine distances, angles, areas, and elevations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Map Preparation:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Create maps, plats, and other graphical representations of survey results using CAD software.</li>\n <li>Add labels, legends, and symbols to clearly convey information.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Documentation and Reporting:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare survey reports, including written descriptions, summaries, and analysis of survey findings.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate and organized records of survey data, reports, and project documentation.</li>\n <li>Assist in the preparation of legal descriptions and boundary surveys.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Control:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify the accuracy and completeness of survey documents and reports before finalization.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with surveyors and field teams to address discrepancies and ensure data consistency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Software and Equipment Maintenance:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain and update surveying software and equipment used in the office.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Team Support:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with survey teams and provide technical assistance when needed.</li>\n <li>Assist with project management tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Field Work:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Check truck and equipment in preparation for field work.</li>\n <li>Setup equipment and prepare for survey</li>\n <li>Assist Party Chief in creating notes and file downloads</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate degree or technical certification in surveying, geomatics, or related field.</li>\n <li>Previous experience as a Survey Office Technician or similar office-based surveying role is advantageous.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in surveying and CAD software, including AutoCAD and GIS software.</li>\n <li>Strong mathematical and analytical skills.</li>\n <li>Attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and map preparation.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with surveying standards and regulations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of legal surveying practices and documentation.</li>\n <li>Time management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.</li>\n <li>Valid CA Driver's License</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The pay range for this position in California is <strong>$32.00hr-40.00hr.</strong> Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>All local employment laws apply.
