We are currently looking for a Senior Thermal Engineer to join the team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"color: rgb(230, 126, 35); font-weight: bold\">The Role</span></p>\n<p>As a Senior Thermal Engineer, you will lead the thermal design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft systems and components. You’ll be responsible for developing thermal models, defining control strategies, and ensuring compliance with mission requirements. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and mentoring junior engineers to drive technical excellence. You will also support environmental qualification testing and contribute to proposal and review processes throughout the project lifecycle.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(230, 126, 35); font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead thermal design and analysis activities for spacecraft subsystems and components.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop and validate thermal models using ESATAN-TMS.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Define thermal control strategies including passive and active systems (e.g., MLI, heat pipes, radiators, heaters).</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support thermal testing activities from component-level through full spacecraft assembly.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support thermal environmental qualification testing (TVAC), including test planning and data review.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support proposal development and technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR).</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure compliance with mission requirements, standards, and customer specifications.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with cross functional teams, including avionics, mechanical, propulsion, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Manage and provide mentorship to junior engineers and foster technical excellence across the team.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Responsible for maintaining documentation, including design specifications, test plans, performance reports and ICDs.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(230, 126, 35); font-weight: bold\">Must Have</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Minimum 10 years of experience in thermal engineering within the space industry</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Proficiency in ESATAN-TMS and thermal analysis software</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Strong understanding of space thermal environments and heat transfer mechanisms</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Experience with thermal testing and instrumentation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Knowledge of thermal coatings and materials for space applications</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Experience with flight hardware development and qualification </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(230, 126, 35); font-weight: bold\">Nice to Have</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Experience with other thermal analysis tools</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Experience with CubeSats or small satellite platforms</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Experience working with international space agencies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Familiarity with ECSS standards </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 300\">Creativity to find innovative solutions</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Information about our data processing is set out in our <a href=\"https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YjlHRlWE9z2jetugzFUfxk-5nKDzZYps/view?usp=drive_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">candidate data privacy notice.</a></span></span></p>",
