This position plays a vital role in patient accessby verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, confirming orders, and coordinating with clinic staff tosupport timely and accurate patient onboarding. The Coordinator upholds the highest standards of professionalism,accuracy, and customer service while contributing to departmental efficiency and organizational growth.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>I. Position Responsibilities Process incoming referrals by verifying completeness, accuracy, and payer requirements prior to givingscheduling approval. Conduct insurance eligibility and benefit verification, including deductible, copay, and authorizationrequirements. Obtain insurance authorizations as required. Communicate effectively with patients, clinics, and referring providers to confirm appointment details andresolve access-related issues. Accurately document all actions taken within the EMR, tracking systems, and payer portals to maintaintransparency and compliance. Collaborate with the Lead Ambulatory Access Coordinator and peers to ensure daily workloads andturnaround expectations satisfied. Monitor and follow up on pending authorizations and referrals to prevent delays in patient care. Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines, departmental policies, and changes in authorization requirements. Support departmental initiatives related to efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction. Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards.II. Customer Service Maintains the highest level of customer service via courtesy, compassion and positive communication. Promotes the mission and vision of PAM Health within the work environment and the community. Respects dignity and confidentiality by adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.III. Health and Safety Works in a manner that promotes safety; wears clothing appropriate to the performance of the job. Participates in OSHA required training.</p>\n<p> Follows universal precautions as appropriate for position; complies with Employee Health requirementsfor continued employment. Reports unsafe practices to management. Knows own role in case of an emergency.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient access, outpatient admissions, medical office coordination, orrelated healthcare role.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of insurance verification, authorization processes, and EMR systems. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</p>\n<h2>About PAM Health</h2>\n<p><strong>PAM HEALTH (PAM)</strong> based in Enola, Pennsylvania, provides specialty healthcare services through more than 80 locations, as well as wound clinics and outpatient physical therapy locations, in 17 states.
