We work hard together—and with our clients—to deliver high-quality projects that are on time, on budget and beyond expectations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Northwest Division</strong></p>\n<p>Shimmick’s Northwest Division, headquartered in Suisun City, California, focuses on large public owners in Northern California, across water resources, water treatment, transportation, and transit markets. In addition, this division was awarded the APWA 2019 Public Works Project Award in the environment category for the Alameda Creek Fish Passage project in California.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with the Company estimating systems and processes.</li>\n <li>Acquire basic level of understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.</li>\n <li>Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact estimates.</li>\n <li>Under supervision prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.</li>\n <li>Performs duties with limited complexity, such as material take offs, basic pricing, vendor/subcontractor outreach.</li>\n <li>Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, + 2 years of relevant estimating experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li>\n <li>Experience estimating commercial construction projects (buildings and related structures / architectural scopes, etc.) </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Heavy Civil structures estimating experience  (water/wastewater treatment, rail/transit, bridge structures, etc).</li>\n <li>Knowledge of project management principles, heavy civil structures construction, and transportation infrastructure design.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.</li>\n <li>relocation benefits are not available with this position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The salary range for this position is between<strong> $90,000-$110,000</strong> per year depending on experience and/or education.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include pet insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week.
