Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>#SIC</strong></p>\n<p><strong>#LI On-Site</strong></p>\n<p><strong>#LI-VB1</strong></p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Performs any combination of following duties to assist in prevention of fires, extinguishing of incipient stage fires, contacting emergency help when necessary and other fire watch duties as needed. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure that the fire watch permit is filled out properly and has all required signatures in place prior to work starting.</li>\n <li>Contact emergency help as needed through the use of alarms, radio contact, telephone, etc.</li>\n <li>Be able to direct employees and other personnel out of affected hot work areas.</li>\n <li>Be able to use fire extinguisher on incipient stage fires.</li>\n <li>Inspection of fire extinguishers for proper charge, current inspection tag, condition, etc.</li>\n <li>Monitor affected area for a minimum of 30 minutes after all hot work is completed.</li>\n <li>Conduct a final inspection of entire area prior to leaving.</li>\n <li>Perform housekeeping duties in affected area to assist with reduction of fire hazards in immediate work area. NOTE: This can only be done if fire watch personnel are able to perform all other duties required of them. </li>\n <li>Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.</li>\n <li>Regular attendance is required.</li>\n <li>Significant travel may be required.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. </li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.</li>\n <li>Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.</li>\n <li>Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. </li>\n <li>Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
