About this Role IFS InfraSource is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our High Voltage Underground (HVUG) team. The HVUG team specializes in the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and upgrading of complex underground electrical transmission systems to ensure reliable power delivery. This role will work closely with the HVUG Program Director, Superintendent, and project field crews. The Project Manager will be a hybrid role requiring periodic travel between multiple project sites throughout the country, with most work requiring an on-site presence coordinated with the Program Director. Field involvement is critical for developing the Project Manager’s understanding of all aspects of underground transmission construction, ultimately making them a key asset in successful project execution. Emergency response is also expected, as our team frequently responds to urgent customer needs. What You'll Do Create and own the project execution plan, including safety, staffing, scheduling, and productivity targets Develop, maintain and update project documentation and project file system (physical and electronic) Manage projects with responsibility for overall P&L performance, including budget adherence, margin protection, and cost controls Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, inspectors, and key stakeholders Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in Lead and coordinate field supervision, estimating, safety, and support teams to achieve project objectives Ensuring Change Orders are documented per the contract Complete project close-out per company policy Accruals are tracked weekly/monthly and turned in at the end of every week Develop and maintain critical path schedules in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 Prepare and present weekly project status reports covering cost, schedule, risk, and production Work interdepartmentally to make sure all revenue is accounted for and accurate Forecasting cost scope schedule resources daily/weekly/monthly End of month explanations for variances to forecast Work with internal support groups to set up projects in the accounting system What You'll Bring Demonstrated experience managing Electric or utility infrastructure construction projects (distribution, transmission, or related utility work) Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in utility, industrial, or heavy construction environments Willingness to travel Ability to interpret and communicate project requirements Ability to apply established project management methodologies to complex utility construction environments Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project Proven ability to manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, and earned value Desired: PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certification In this role, success is defined by delivering safe, profitable projects that meet customer expectations while maintaining schedule integrity and cost control What You'll Get Paid on-the-job technical and professional training Defined career path for future growth Competitive wages and industry-leading benefits including Retirement Plan This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
