    "requisitionDescription": "<p>Pokagon Health Services is adding a part-time Clinical Massage Therapist. &nbsp;Minimum requirements are 1 year of clinical/medical massage in a clinical setting and current licensure by the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy or National Licensure. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p data-pasted=\"true\">Commitment to Citizen Service:</p><p>Service encompasses all aspects of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indian&rsquo;s governmental operations. &nbsp;Every employee shares the responsibility to provide exemplary service, dignity, and respect to all Tribal Citizens, the Tribal Council, and staff members. &nbsp;To this end, all employees have an obligation to identify and report any service problems, issues, or concerns and through designated channels, initiate, recommend, and actively participate in solutions. &nbsp;</p><p>Position Summary:</p><p>Performs therapeutic massage on patients to improve circulation, promote relaxation, relieve stress, pain, injuries and aid in the ease of adjustment for chiropractors.&nbsp;</p><p>Essential Functions:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Establish respectful, compassionate, and therapeutic environments by providing individualized and culturally appropriate care to patients.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on referrals from providers.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Provide various massage techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and lymphatic drainage.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Treat patients with conditions such as chronic pain, sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and stress-related disorders.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Maintain detailed and accurate patient treatment records.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Collaborate with other professionals such as chiropractors, physicians, and advanced practitioners.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Communicate treatment outcomes and recommendations to referring providers.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Follow provider orders and treatment protocols as appropriate.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Provide massage in clinics, at health fairs and other community events.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Promote a calming environment for the patient with lighting and sound/music.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\" lang=\"EN-US\" class=\"TextRun SCXW107832830 BCX8\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW107832830 BCX8\">Adhere to infection-control policies and procedures and maintain clean linens and environment.</span></span></li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Protect patient information and abide by HIPAA regulations and professional ethical standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Stay current with evidence-based massage therapy techniques and medical research.</li></ul><p>Equipment:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Standard office equipment. &nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Systems used: MS Office Applications and Internet.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Electronic Health Record.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Positioning tools.</li></ul><p>Position Requirements: &nbsp;</p><p>PB-6</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">High School Diploma or GED required.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Current licensure by the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy or National Licensure required.</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Strong interpersonal communication skills and time management abilities.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left: -24px;\">Proficient in multiple massage modalities and therapeutic techniques.
