    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in a fast-paced logistics environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and prior experience within the logistics or transportation industry. The ideal candidate thrives in operational settings, can lead and develop a team, and partners effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting</li><li>Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering accountability, development, and continuous improvement</li><li>Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies</li><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements</li><li>Analyze financial results and provide clear explanations of variances and trends</li><li>Leverage advanced Excel skills to build and maintain financial models, reconciliations, and reporting tools</li><li>Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to support cost tracking, margin analysis, and operational insights</li><li>Support audits, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (BA or BS) in Accounting, Finance, or related field</strong></li><li><strong>Prior accounting experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry</strong></li><li><strong>Strong Excel skills</strong>, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis</li><li><strong>Proven leadership experience</strong>, including managing and developing direct reports</li><li>Solid understanding of accounting principles, month-end close, and financial reporting</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with ERP systems in a logistics or operational environment</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners</li><li>minimum 5 years experience as an accounting manager</li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><u>Benefits</u></p><p>The company offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as basic and voluntary life and voluntary ancillary coverages for accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity.
