    "description": "<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Title:</strong></p>\n<p>Family Physician/Emergency Physician</p>\n<p><strong>Work Site:</strong></p>\n<p>North East Urgent & Primary Care Clinic  </p>\n<p><strong>Status:</strong></p>\n<p>Part Time, Full Time (0.20 - 0.6 FTE)</p>\n<p><strong>Start Date:</strong></p>\n<p>To be mutually agreed upon</p>\n<p><strong>Compensation Type:</strong></p>\n<p>Clinical Service Contract</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Come work as a Family Physician / Emergency Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an opportunity for a Family Physician (FP) or Emergency Physician (EP) to work either in a full-time or part-time position at the North East Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC) in Vancouver.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The NE UPCC provides urgent care for patients with non-life-threatening injuries, illnesses and conditions that should be addressed within 12 to 24 hours, but do not require the service and expertise of a hospital emergency department (CTAS 3,4,5). The UPCC will operate 7 days per week, year round, Mon-Sat 0800-2200 and Sunday and Holidays from 0900-1700.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The clinic provides team-based care, with off-site rapid access to X-ray, ultrasound and labs. Patients are linked to appropriate care pathways that include specialist, social service, and primary care. Of particular note: all treatment and follow-up will be carefully integrated with existing Primary Care providers, and patients will be supported to find Primary Care if unattached.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Vancouver NE UPCC supports a healthy work-life balance and will focus on the professional development and satisfaction of its multidisciplinary team. The clinic supports learning, skill development and continuous quality improvement through clinical simulation exercises and a range of quality improvement initiatives.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Licensing, & Experience</strong><strong>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) Eligible – Mandatory</li>\n <li>Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory</li>\n <li>Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Full</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge & Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Combines current or recent experience in primary care along with urgent or emergent care, with a clear understanding of the role and importance of foundational primary care, with the ability to integrate the two. </li>\n <li>Positive, energetic, and empathic with strong communication skills and natural attention to detail.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Closing Statement</h2>\n<p>Interested in applying?
