Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.<strong> </strong> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support engineering and program teams through technical analysis, research, and administrative coordination activities.</li>\n <li>Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of engineering documentation, reports, and project deliverables.</li>\n <li>Create and modify technical designs and models using CAD software.</li>\n <li>Analyze and interpret engineering and operational data to support decision-making and reporting requirements.</li>\n <li>Utilize Microsoft Office applications to organize data, develop presentations, and communicate project results.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to gather information and support project objectives.</li>\n <li>Contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide recommendations based on analytical findings.</li>\n <li>Support project tracking, scheduling, and task management activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (required).</strong></li>\n <li>Background in materials engineering, materials science, manufacturing processes, or mechanical systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar design tools.</li>\n <li>Experience performing data analysis using engineering, statistical, or analytical software.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience conducting engineering research or laboratory testing.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with manufacturing, prototyping, or materials development processes.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership experience through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.</li>\n <li>Experience managing project tasks, schedules, or stakeholder communications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You'll Bring</strong></p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineering student or recent graduate with hands-on engineering experience, strong analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical teams and external partners. Experience supporting research initiatives, developing CAD designs, analyzing data, and leading project efforts will enable success in this role.</p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
