This role also devises equipment spare strategies to support grid reliability, mitigate operational and financial risks, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and technical specifications.</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:5.7pt\"><span>This is a full-time, on-site position located in Akron, OH.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p><span>Responsibilities&nbsp;Include:</span>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Develop new or manage existing asset management programs for transmission and distribution assets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop and maintain substation asset management and lifecycle planning.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop and maintain system spare strategies for major assets by analyzing operational and historical data, asset health, and system topology, including applying optimization techniques to recommend optimal system sparing requirements.</span></li>\n <li><span>Collaborate with engineering, substation services, and regional operations for efficient inventory management and asset lifecycle planning.</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide program status (scope, budget and schedule progress) and identification of issues requiring management involvement for resolution</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepare and present reports on asset status, inventories, and lifecycle planning to leadership, translating technical findings into actionable recommendations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Actively participate and collaborate with industry groups such as EPRI and NATF to identify, evaluate, and implement improvements in processes and methodologies through research, benchmarking, and shared project initiatives.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain collaborative relationships across functions and find opportunities for continuous improvement.</span></li>\n <li><span>Support Asset Management and Operational Excellence business plan and initiatives as required.</span></li>\n <li><span>Support the Emergency Plan by participating in assigned storm duties, including hazard response and dispatch activities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrate a solid commitment to FirstEnergy Values and Behaviors.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p><span>Qualifications at the Program Manager II level&nbsp;include:</span>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, analytics, or a related technical or quantitative field, supporting data</span><span>‑</span><span>driven analysis, reliability</span><span>‑</span><span>based decision making, and asset lifecycle management.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum of three (3) years of experience in engineering, analytics, program/project management or leading initiatives related to asset management, or operational improvement.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated ability to create robust reports and perform in-depth data analysis to deliver actionable insights, enabling informed, data-driven operational decisions.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to clearly explain complex technical information to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge.</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated project management expertise, including the ability to develop comprehensive project plans, manage timelines, coordinate resources, and ensure successful execution from initiation through completion.</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with primary substation assets such as power transformers, circuit breakers, and disconnect switches, including their operating principles and technical specifications is preferred.</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience utilizing asset management software tools (such as Cascade, Maximo, or SAP), Data analytics tools ( such as PowerBI, QlikView, or Tableau) or database programming languages ( such as SQL, Python, R) is preferred.&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p><span>Qualifications at the Program Manager III level&nbsp;include all above plus:</span>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering, analytics, program/project management or leading initiatives related to asset management, or operational improvement.</span></li>\n <li><span>Program Manager III level will be expected to perform all of the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner.</span><br><br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul><span>Qualifications at the Program Manager IV level&nbsp;include all above plus:</span>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in engineering, analytics, program/project management or leading initiatives related to asset management, or operational improvement.</span></li>\n <li><span>An employee hired at the Program Manager IV level will be expected to perform all of the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner.
