    "requisitionDescription": "<div>\n    <link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n    <link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n\n    <div class=\"fr-view\">\n      <h1>Position Overview</h1><p><strong>Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design, develop and drive the new LightBox suite of offerings into a fully integrated and consistent platform.</strong></p><p>An ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, new EcmaScript standards, NPM, Babel, Webpack and similar.</p><p>The initial responsibilities for this role will be to modify, design, and integrate React components into a variety of frontend frameworks.&nbsp;</p><p>This position will have opportunities to explore and recommend adoption of emerging tools.</p><p>Beyond technical proficiency, a candidate also needs strong interpersonal and communication skills.&nbsp;</p><p>This position is expected to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences, to mentor team members in new technologies and paradigms, and to contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes across LightBox</p><h1>What you will do and achieve:</h1><ul><li>Participate in team activities such as design sessions, code reviews and sprint ceremonies.</li><li>Serve as a mentor for engineers across the business.</li><li>Adhere to best practices around versioning, automated testing, dependency management, system reliability, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, auto-scaling, data security, etc.</li><li>Investigate and resolve technical and non-technical issues, resolving critical incidents in a timely manner and with a thorough root cause analysis.</li><li>Contribute to LightBox&rsquo;s technology strategy as a member of its architectural leadership team.</li></ul><h1>Who you are:</h1><h2>Education</h2><ul><li>B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent)</li></ul><h2>&nbsp;Experience</h2><ul><li>4 or more years of experience in software engineering&nbsp;</li><li>3 or more years of experience in React</li></ul><h2>Knowledge &amp; Skills</h2><ul><li>Aptitude to build and integrate React components following best practices for reusability</li><li>Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills</li><li>Ability to write and maintain HTML/CSS/JS</li><li>Develop and debug within Docker Containers</li><li>Knowledge of best practices consuming SOAP, RESTful and GraphQL APIs</li><li>Experience using Github, Gitlab, and or BitBucket</li><li>Understanding relational, graph and document databases systems</li><li>Design and implement maintainable and testable software accompanied by automated tests &ndash; unit, integration, or end to end</li><li>Modern practices around agile development, release management, continuous integration, and data security</li><li>Computer science and software engineering fundamentals</li></ul><h2>Core Competencies</h2><ul><li>Clearly communicate decision points, opportunities, and outcomes to senior leadership</li><li>Exercise discretion and independent judgment on all projects and responsibilities</li><li>Contribute to development of systems and software to meet team objectives.</li><li>Mentor team members on technical and non-technical topics&nbsp;</li><li>Stay up to date on emerging technologies, standards, and protocols</li></ul><h2><em>&nbsp;</em></h2><p><em>This job description is a general listing of the required tasks and expectations of the position and in no way implies that the duties listed above are the employee&rsquo;s only responsibilities.
