    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Title:</strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;Lead&nbsp;Material Handler</p><p><strong>Classification:</strong> Non-exempt</p><p><strong>Reports To:</strong> Quality Assurance Manager</p><p><strong>Position Type:</strong> Full-time</p><p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong> Monday &ndash; Friday, shift varies</p><p><strong>Work Location:</strong> Headquarters, Kansas City, MO</p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong>:</p><p>The Lead Material Handler provides guidance and training to the Material Handling team that specializes in transporting materials<s>&nbsp;</s>throughout the production facility to designated locations. &nbsp;This role will lead by example, working aside the Material Handling team. &nbsp;The Lead is also responsible for inventory management, shipping and receiving and material distribution responsibilities. The Lead Material Handler aligns with Master&rsquo;s core values of relentlessly pursuing excellence, operating with high integrity, communicating with a positive attitude, and is innovative and solution oriented. The Lead will set the pace and be responsible for the facilitation of the department&rsquo;s accountabilities and expectations as laid out by the Quality Assurance Manager. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Provide guidance and support to the team, and ensure they have the knowledge and training required to complete their job accountabilities</li><li>Technical advisor for the team</li><li>Identify opportunities for process enhancements</li><li>Transport materials, supplies, and finished goods and record material movements in timely manner to keep an updated inventory count</li><li>Verify incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, review accompanying documents for accuracy, receive material into inventory and maintain appropriate records</li><li>Properly identify and store materials in correct and secure locations</li><li>Pick, pack and dispatch materials to support the manufacturing process&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing material, fix incorrect shipments and replace damaged products</li><li>Assist in conducting physical inventory and cycle counts, and with routine audits of inventory records</li><li>Prepare material for shipment, perform shipping transactions and maintain resulting records&nbsp;</li><li>When problems arise, work with the supply chain team to resolve issues with contractors or vendors</li><li>Utilize material handling equipment such as carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. to transport materials and perform safety checks on that equipment</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean work environment by removing and disposing of packaging and shipment waste from work areas and performing general warehouse housekeeping tasks</li><li>Participates in process improvement projects, including Lean and Six Sigma initiatives</li><li>Applies Kaizen principles to identify areas for continuous improvement and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency</li><li>Uses 5S methodology to organize and maintain a clean, efficient workplace</li><li>Supports established safety and health standards to keep the organization accident-free</li><li>Collaborate effectively with all departments to achieve operational excellence and ensure alignment with organizational goals</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p><ul><li>Product expertise&nbsp;</li><li>Leadership</li><li>Employee Development</li><li>Attention to detail &nbsp;</li><li>Communication skills</li><li>Organizational skills</li><li>Problem-solving skills&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong>Yes</p><p><strong>Work Environment:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Manufacturing Plant Environment: 100%&nbsp;</p><p>Personal Protective Equipment recommended and/or required on the production floor:</p><ul><li>Safety glasses, or prescription safety glasses that meet ANSI Z 87.1-2020</li><li>Hearing Protection that meets ANSI S 12.6-2016</li><li>Steel-toed shoes with anti-slip soles that meet&nbsp;ASTM F2413-2018</li></ul><p><strong>Safety Sensitive:</strong></p><p>This position is classified as safety‑sensitive and requires employees to perform duties where impaired performance could pose a significant risk to the health and safety of themselves or others.
