You will be part of a team that constructs, manages, and conducts discrete mission engineering and analysis to evaluate the efficacy of legacy architectures and new technologies</p><p><strong>Responsibilities<em>:&nbsp;</em></strong></p><ul><li>Develop, analyze, and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies, tools, and languages (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Modeling Language (UML)).</li><li>Design and integrate system architectures, interfaces, and workflows to support Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and sustainment processes.</li><li>Conduct requirements analysis, traceability, and validation across system lifecycles, ensuring alignment with stakeholder and mission needs.</li><li>Support the development of digital engineering capabilities, including digital thread/twin integration and migration.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, and cyber engineers) to ensure seamless integration and interoperability.</li><li>Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and MBSE expertise to program managers, stakeholders, and junior engineers.</li><li>Prepare and deliver technical documentation, briefings, and data packages to inform leadership and government decision-making.</li><li>Support risk management and continuous improvement efforts by evaluating and introducing new MBSE tools, processes, and frameworks.</li></ul><p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>You must have a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.</li><li>You will need 4+ years of experience in systems engineering, with direct experience in MBSE.</li><li>Proficiency with MBSE methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect).</li><li>Strong knowledge of SysML/UML for modeling architectures and system behaviors.</li><li>Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA) and traceability processes.</li><li>Ability to interface with customers in technical and programmatic contexts, translating needs into actionable tasks.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and present technical documentation.</li><li>You must possess or can obtain an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.</li><li>You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.</li></ul><p>Lacking any one of these disqualifies you from this job.</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Master&rsquo;s Degree: Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, or related discipline.</li><li>10+ years of experience in MBSE or systems engineering roles, preferably within DoD, aerospace, or related industries.</li><li>International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) certification or equivalent systems engineering certification.</li><li>Certified SysML Model Builder or MBSE-specific training.</li><li>Experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), or other architecture frameworks.</li><li>Familiarity with digital thread/digital twin applications, automation, and integration of MBSE across organizations.</li><li>Experience supporting DoD open architectures.</li><li>Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.</li></ul><p><strong>nou (pronounced &lsquo;new&rsquo;) Systems:</strong></p><p>Since its founding in 2012, nou Systems has built a reputation for excellence in innovative engineering, prototype development, and technical and professional services in multiple markets, including missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control.
