Together we can continue to create the “grid of the future”!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Join us in leading the </strong><strong>change!</strong></p>\n<p>Develop and conduct computer modeling and analysis for transmission planning studies which include steady state analysis, short circuit analysis, and dynamic stability analysis. Studies may include near-term and long-term transmission planning, generator interconnection studies, reliability-driven transmission project alternatives development, and NERC standards compliance analyses. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>How you can make an impact:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform power system impact studies: Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability </li>\n <li>Perform NERC-compliance-related technical analyses such as TPL-001-4 Annual Planning Assessments. </li>\n <li>Perform full generator interconnection studies which may also include Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) studies. </li>\n <li>Ensure that renewable and/or storage resource projects interconnecting to the transmission system meet Voltage Ride-Through (VRT) requirements. </li>\n <li>Participate in ERCOT working group meetings and case building efforts on behalf of specific clients as assigned. </li>\n <li>Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed. </li>\n <li>Process, generate, and maintain data as required for all studies. </li>\n <li>Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives. </li>\n <li>Identify training needs and present to the Engineering Manager as needed. </li>\n <li>Perform other duties, as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Bring your passion, here what’s needed:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Staff I</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in power systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Staff II</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in power systems</li>\n <li>2 - 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer</li>\n <li>Experience performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability </li>\n <li>Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.</li>\n <li>Experience automating/programing in Python</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>How we support you:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision with 100% premium coverage for you.</li>\n <li>Generous PTO and paid holidays</li>\n <li>Continuous Education Benefits</li>\n <li>Work with industry leaders</li>\n <li>401K, up to a 4% match (100% vested from day 1)</li>\n <li>Flexible Work including hybrid and remote possibilities base on position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Location</strong></em>: This position is Remote US/Canada</p>\n<p><strong><em>Travel</em></strong>:  Occasional travel may be needed (10% or less)</p>\n<p><em><strong> </strong></em></p>\n<p><em>EPE is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
