Your willingness to step in where needed ensures a smooth working environment. The Back of House Team Member function will consist of the following roles: Runner, Flat Top, Char Grill, Dishwasher, Tortilla, Cold Prep and other non-management roles as assigned for example; Cashier, Lobby, Line Cook, Expeditor, Salad, Drive Through, To Go,</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Assumes responsibility for ensuring that their assigned position for their shift meets business standards and we can appropriately serve the guest any food item on our menu.</li><li>Greet the guest, and understand the guest comes first.</li><li>Serve with a smile and make eye contact.</li><li>Assumes responsibility for preparing food safely and per Costa Vida standards.</li><li>Follow menu builds and recipes.</li><li>Comply with appropriate cleaning and sanitizing of workstation.</li><li>May input data into a food safety checklist system.</li><li>Assist with packaging and delivering catering orders.&nbsp;</li><li>Assumes responsibility in working multiple positions as stated above in the General Position Summary.</li><li>With assistance from management positions, the team member may learn a variety of roles and may work several different positions in one shift.</li><li>Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.</li><li>Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries.</li><li>Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders.</li></ul><h3><strong>WORKING REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS</strong></h3><p><strong>Education/Certification:</strong></p><p>Food Handler permit.</p><p><strong>Experience Required:</strong></p><p>Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a bulk or high-volume kitchen environment.</p><p>Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.</p><p>Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.</p><p>Ability to weigh and measure food accurately.</p><p>Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen.</p><p>Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude</p><p><strong>Skills/Abilities:</strong></p><p>Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).</p><h3><br></h3><h3><strong>PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION</strong></h3><p><strong>Finger dexterity:</strong></p><p>Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.</p><p><strong>Talking:</strong></p><p>Especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.</p><p><strong>Average Hearing:</strong></p><p>Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.</p><p><strong>Average Visual Abilities:</strong></p><p>Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.</p><p><strong>Physical Strength:</strong></p><p>Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).</p><h3><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></h3><p><strong>Environment:</strong></p><p>Capable of working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.</p><h3><br></h3><h3><strong>MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQURIEMTNS OF THIS POSITION</strong></h3><p><strong>Reasoning Ability:</strong></p><p>Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.</p><p>Able to interpret various instructions.</p><p><strong>Mathematics Ability:</strong></p><p>Ability to perform basic math skills.</p><p><strong>Language Ability:</strong></p><p>Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias.</p><p>Ability to prepare memos, and reports using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.&nbsp;</p><p>Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis; correct pronunciation (or sign equivalent); and variation in word order using present, perfect, and future tenses.</p><h3><br></h3><h3><strong>INTENT AND FUNCTION OF JOB DESCRIPTIONS</strong></h3><p><em>Job descriptions assist organizations in ensuring that the hiring process is fairly administered and that qualified employees are selected.
