font-size: 16px;\"><u>JOB SUMMARY</u></span></strong></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Technician II assists with maintenance tasks for company assets and assists maintenance staff with overhauling minor components and installing replacements, with electrical, hydraulic and computer diagnostics and with scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong><u>CORE RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></span></p><ol><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform preventive maintenance according to the set schedules within standard repair times.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Properly identify faults and out of service criteria when conducting a vehicle inspection and make repairs in a timely fashion</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Notify supervisor immediately of any parts that need to be ordered</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform basic diagnostic work and be trained on the use of gauges in hydraulic diagnosis and computer software for engine and transmission diagnosis&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform replacement of known failed auxiliary components, to include but not limited to: brakes, sensors, starters, alternators or hydraulic cylinders in a timely fashion without come- backs.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Work will be subject to periodic audits</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">May assist in training Tech 1&rsquo;s or audit Preventive Maintenance Inspections</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Assist with more complex repairs to include but not limited to Turbos and EGR Components, Fuel Filter Housings, Oil Thermostats/ Housings, Air Compressors or Differentials</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Report immediately any safety violations and correcting unsafe acts or conditions.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Comply with company safety policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">May be required to drive a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) not to exceed 26,000 pounds.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Track time in accordance with company procedures.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain service truck readiness including safety equipment, tools, equipment, and cleanliness.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain repair order documentation to include repair description, parts and fluids used, and repair times.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform monthly inventories as required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain a clean workspace. &nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Attend training sessions for continuing education.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">At least one year of verifiable preventative maintenance experience or technical degree with demonstrated knowledge of maintenance on class 8 vehicles or DOT Inspector License (per 49 CFR &ndash; Part 396.19)</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Must possess own tools</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Familiarity with shop equipment and safety practices</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Basic automotive knowledge</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;
