You will be involved in troubleshooting network issues, assisting with installations and configurations, and aiding in the maintenance of network security and performance. Additionally, in this position you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with routing and routing protocols, BGP, EIGRP, and VRF. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with IP addressing for DNS requests. </li>\n <li>Assist in troubleshooting low to moderate-severity network incidents and ensure prompt resolution.</li>\n <li>Provide support for approximately 1200 routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances.</li>\n <li>Contribute to router and switch installation, administration, and basic troubleshooting tasks.</li>\n <li>Assist in the installation and basic upgrades of router, switch, firewall, and network appliance software.</li>\n <li>Support basic installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Proxy devices, DNS/IPAM, TCP/IP, DHCP, VLAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, and networking protocols.</li>\n <li>Contribute to supporting a network environment with voice, video, data, operational data, and mobile applications.</li>\n <li>Participate in the installation, administration, and basic troubleshooting of IDS, VPN, VTC, and network monitoring tools.</li>\n <li>Provide support in cabling and fiber optic systems installation, administration, and basic troubleshooting.</li>\n <li>Manage patch and vulnerability management of network infrastructure.</li>\n <li>Create, update, and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configuration templates, procedure documents, compliance documents, and training materials.</li>\n <li>Assist in maintaining basic network cybersecurity functions under guidance.</li>\n <li>Support SCADA network environment under guidance.</li>\n <li>Follow change management procedures and provide timely acknowledgment and resolution of service requests.</li>\n <li>Ensure network devices are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li>\n <li>Participate in monitoring network systems, management/security software, and network monitoring systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), we will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust.</li>\n <li>1-3 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge or educational background in installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco network and/or security equipment.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with basic network design documentation using Visio and Microsoft Office applications.</li>\n <li>Developing problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and recognize solutions.</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of networking concepts, principles, and practices.</li>\n <li>Exposure to or knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols.</li>\n <li>Basic familiarity with MPLS networks.</li>\n <li>Developing ability to interpret and analyze packet captures, OSI model, cable plant systems, and data center architecture.</li>\n <li>Interest in network firewalls, security appliances, VPNs, and access control methodologies.</li>\n <li>Developing understanding of wireless networking technology.</li>\n <li>Exposure to network segmentation, DNS, DHCP, and IPAM concepts.</li>\n <li>This position may participate in a 24/7 environment and involve shift work in the future.</li>\n <li>Must be able to:</li>\n <li>Lift up to 25 lbs.</li>\n <li>Bend, stretch, squat, kneel, to move equipment, set up workstations (projectors, TV screens, computers, servers, routers, printers, tools, etc.).</li>\n <li>Must be able to present acceptable identification for customer badging and site access, such as a REAL ID compliant driver license, U.S. Passport, or other approved document from the GSA Required Identification List.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $58,800.00/Yr. - USD $67,930/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
