If you have at least one year of experience working on trailers and brakes, possess a valid and current driver&#39;s license, and own your own tools, this job could be a good fit for you.</p><p><strong>As a Trailer Mechanic, your typical day would include:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all XTRA Lease equipment as indicated on repair orders and consistent with XTRA Lease repair standards.</li><li>Performing safety and legally required inspections (FHWA/BIT).</li><li>Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically on trailers</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience working on brakes</li><li>Must be qualified to complete FHWA inspections</li><li>Must have a valid and current driver&#39;s license</li></ul><p>As a Trailer Mechanic, you&rsquo;ll need one year of trailer repair experience to complete FHWA inspections consistent with the Department of Transportation requirements.
